Funding for your research
There are three routes to funding at CMC, and each is applied for differently. Where CMC sets its own internal deadline, that is the date you need to meet.
Intramural · open all year
Fluid Research Grant
Up to ₹3,00,000 per project. Request it in your IRB application; eligible studies are funded at each IRB sitting.
Intramural · periodic callsIntramural calls
Major research grants, the mission network grant and special calls, announced here. Each scheme’s screening committee decides funding.
Outside fundersExtramural calls
Calls from national and international funders. Applying needs the Principal’s sign-off, which you can request from the call.
Awarded a grant from a call? Intramural and extramural awards are set up in the Grants Portal — MOUs, administrative and finance approvals — before the project can start.
No open calls right now
New calls are posted by the Research Office as they open. In the meantime, the grants team can help you plan an application.
